Regular travel by bus in the city of Dundee is much cheaper than you might expect.
Stagecoach have a weekly ticket for £11.00. The Dundee mega-rider ticket gives unlimited travel on all Stagecoach bus services - extending from Monifieth to Invergowrie. You can buy a Dundee Megarider from the driver/conductor when you board the bus. The mega-rider is transferable so you can share it around your family. There is also a Dundee Student Megarider available to £8.00. Stagecoach also have a £3.00 all day ticket. Another option is the 10 journey ticket that might be a better option if you don't use the bus every day - 10 journey tickets give a 20% saving on the normal bus fare. Stagecoach give change on all their bus services.
National Express Dundee sell weekly (£12.00) and four-weekly tickets (£44.50) from their Travel Shop in Commerical Street. You can also buy an annual pass from National Express (£39 per month by direct debit). These shop bought tickets require to be used in conjunction with a photocard and are not tranferable. On bus, you can now buy an £12.00 weekly, a 10 journey ticket for £15.00 and all day ticket for £3.40. There is also a Student Weekly Ticket available on bus for £8.50. National Express Dundee have an exact fare policy on all their buses.
