Stagecoach East Scotland
Service Changes from Monday 24 November 2014.
Service X7, which currently operates hourly between Aberdeen and Dundee will be extended to Perth from 24th November. The service will continue from Dundee calling at the Royal Victoria Hospital and Ninewells Hospital to Perth city centre and Perth Royal Infirmary. The journeys will continue to operate hourly every day, with the exception of the section of route between Dundee and Perth on Sundays, which will run every 2 hours.
Service X7 is an express service with limited stops, however some additional stops have also been added to the route at Dundee and Angus College Gardyne Campus and Dundee University. A number of new journey opportunities and direct links to the three hospital sites have been created by the revised X7, therefore current route 333 will be withdrawn from the same date.
The 333 currently operates hourly between PRI and Ninewells on Mondays to Fridays, so these journeys will be directly replaced by the X7 service. Customers will also be able to continue into Perth and Dundee city centre, as well as into Angus and Aberdeenshire on this express route. The X7 will also provide a weekend service not currently available between the two hospital sites.
Brand new luxury coaches will also operate on service X7 from 24th November. These coaches will provide more seats than the previous vehicles and will include features such as on-board free wifi, air-conditioning, reclining leather seats, a toilet and for the first time, built in bike racks with space for 5 bikes.
Service 39: Arbroath - Dundee
A revised timetable will be introduced on this service, with most journeys running 10 minutes later than at present
